ImageMuse is a group of museum imaging and publishing professionals. We are dedicated to defining guidelines for the creation and use of digital files for reproduction.
 
Color reproduction is problematic using digital files received from unfamiliar sources without embedded profiles and/or guide prints.
 
ImageMuse participants are working together to write shared guidelines for preparing and handling digital files for reproduction. Our goal is wide adoption of these guidelines by museum publications, imaging departments and printing vendors. ImageMuse hopes to reduce the level of effort for publication proofs and elevate image quality.
